It all started back in 1990 when my newlywed wife Robin asked if we could visit an advertising collectible show. I didn’t have much interest in it but agreed. We walked around and saw lots of Coca-Cola, Jolly Green Giant, Mr.
I have this really big Mr peanut cooler and on top of it there is a display rack that connects onto it, i can sent a picture if you would like, I couldt find any pictures of it on the internet
I have one of these and Robin doesn't allow any duplicates:) I wonder what they were thinking? How could we make these Mr. Peanut pewter mugs look any worse? I know - Let's turn them into lamps. We'll afix an ugly lamp shade made of rough burlap to them. Yeah - That's way uglier - Nice work!!!
Very nice — love this post! What a great way to memorialize your journey and your collection. I collect slogan pins or buttons. Have around 1200 or so. Some may be worth some money but likely not many. But I love them so don’t really care. Also collect stamps. Started collecting both in grade school. For various reasons, decided to scale back adding to them as I got older but still randomly add to both collections when something strikes my fancy. Thanks for sharing!
To paraphrase my father, "I love dogs...but better at your house." I have a deep appreciation for collections and I have had my share of them. But overwhelming few people really wanted to see what I had. Still, I regret losing out on the auction for Mickey Mantle's rookie liver. Your Mr Peanut tattoo was funny but if I saw the Charlie the Tuna lamp, I'd buy for my friend Charlie Stella, (the crime novelist). PS - We have a family tradition of posing with characters and somewhere we have Andrew on Ocean City boardwak with Mr Peanut.
Thanks for sharing g your collection online Larry!
Best wishes,
Sherwin

I know nothing about it and I was thinking maybe you do, or maybe you have one.
I don't have one, but I do recall seeing something like this years ago. Hold on to it, might be worth something!
If u had to guess how much would u say it’s worth?
I really couldn't say - Just keep looking for it on Ebay to get a sense of what it's worth.
I should sell you my 2 Mr peanut pewter mug lamps…. Chris would love it if I got rid of them!
